Jiulong Mountain

The screen-like mountain peak of Jiulong, Jiulong Zhang in Chinese, in the northwest of Sanbai Mountain, borders on four townships of Lianjiang, Xinlong, Fengshan and Zhengang, stretching 17 km from east to west, with a barrier of nine lofty peaks and zigzag ridges. Its main apex, 1,106 m above sea level, sprawling 50 km2, has a stretch of summits and hills with rugged rocks, as well as imposing waterfalls rushing down crags, all shrouded in clouds.

Jiulong Screen, according to legend, is where 9 genuine dragons spit pearls, and here abounds with the tea of Jiulong, once a tribute paid to the imperial palace. Furthermore, it is also the cradle of Ganan Tea Picking Opera prevailing in Southern Jiangxi. Natural landscapes such as Dragon's Pond, Immortals Stacking Stones, Stone Gong and Drum are most visited.
