Anyuan Sanbai Mountain Forest Health Care Base

The list of the first-batch provincial forest health care bases in Jiangxi Province was jointly announced on April 17, by the 4 provincial departments, Forestry Bureau, Civil Affairs Department, Health Commission, and Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration. 40 bases, including Anyuan Sanbai Mountain Forest Health Care Base, entered the list after a string of procedures, including voluntary declaration by related business entities, examination and recommendation by cities and counties (districts), review by four provincial departments, on-site inspection and online announcement.

Forest health care is a brand new type of industry, integrating forestry, health service, tourism and others, also considered as an upgraded version of forest tourism and leisure health care in the new economic era. The construction of forest health care base is a significant measure to boost the development of forest health care industry. According to the Suggestion on Promoting the Development of Forest Health Care Industry in Jiangxi, jointly issued by the Provincial Forestry Bureau, Civil Affairs Department, Health Commission, and Traditional Chinese Medicine Administration, by 2022, the province will establish 100 provincial forest health care bases and 10 national forest health care bases, and by 2035, annual forest rehabilitation population is expected to reach 50 million, with annual comprehensive income up to 50 billion yuan, making the province a forest rehabilitation destination well known at home and beyond, and a major province of national forest rehabilitation industry.

The assessment of the Provincial Forest Health Care Base, will push forward this industry in our province to quality development, transformation and upgrading. Furthermore, its role will lead the industry to participate in the revitalization of the countryside, construction of healthy Jiangxi, and service to the general public. Next, we will recommend and report some preeminent health bases to apply for “national forest health base”.

Sprawling 197 km2 with the core area up to 58 km2, Anyuan Sanbai Mountain scenic area is renowned for its six wonders, "source 6 waterfalls, 300 peaks, canyons with dangerous shoals, high mountains with lakes, primitive immense forest, and volcanic landform". Moreover, it has 5 major tourist areas, consisting of 100-odd natural, cultural landscapes, including Fuao Pond, Butterfly Grand Canyon (Jiuquxi), Dong Feng Lake, Yangtian Lake, and Spike Peak Brush.

Sanbai Mountainis accredited as "natural oxygen bar" and "summer resort", thanks to its forest coverage rate up to 98%, rich animal and plant resources, extremely high negative ion concentration, nearly 100,000 / cm3 at the highest, and mild climate of average annual temperature 15.1℃, average temperature 23.3℃ in summer.
