The tribute, designated in the Yongzheng Emperor’s reign of Qing Dynasty, is of even spiral shape, emerald and sleek in color, allowing a mellow aftertaste.


Navel Orange

Introduced in the early 1990s, the major strains of the orange are Newhall, Bonanza and Naurira. Its fruit is oval, with orange peel, sweet taste, high in sugar yet low in acid, with more flesh and little pomace, juicy and refreshing, with extraordinary flavor, renowned as "navel orange at home, sweet scent all over”. Each 100 ml of fresh orange juice contains 207 J of heat quantity, 0.9 g of protein, 0.22 g of fat, 203.9 mg of amino acid, 0.127 mg of vitamin A (carotene), 0.08 mg of vitamin B1, 0.03 mg of vitamin B2 and 45-60 mg of vitamin C, in addition to nutrients like calcium, phosphorus and iron. In 2002, it was appraised as "green food" and "pollution-free agricultural product" respectively by China Green Food Development Center and State Standardization Administration Committee. As of 2005, the navel orange plantation has covered an area of 180,400 mu, with an output of 100,000 tons.


Shiitake Mushroom

Dating back to the Ming Dynasty, some county locals cut wood twigs and pieces, and then chopped “wounds” on wood surface with a knife or axe, that is, "flower cutting", a well-established method, so as to breed mushroom by actuating planting and growth of its spores in the slits. The main strains are flower mushroom (with natural patterns on the surface), Thick mushroom(also known as winter mushroom), oyster mushroom and Diced mushroom, with the former two rated as top grade, acclaimed as "mountain treasure". According to assay, every 100 grams of dried mushroom retains protein 13 g, fat 1.8 g, carbohydrate 54 g, crude fiber 7.8 g and ash 4.9 g, apart from various vitamins and trace elements such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, alongside with 18 amino acids and over 30 enzymes. The mushroom, plump and thick, sleek and fragrant, has the functions of lowering cholesterol, blood pressure, preventing arteriosclerosis, enhancing hematopoiesis, fighting and preventing cancer, and enhancing body constitution. At its prime, 507 county mushroom farms employed 1,200-strong professionals, channeling over 40 tons of dried products abroad, equaling to 1/5 of the mushroom export volume in the same year.
